Patrice Jeener studied engraving at the Beaux Arts school in 1963. Already influenced by the engravings of Escher and Flake's treaty on curvilinear perspective, he discovered at the Palais de la Decouverte and the Institute Henri Poincaré models of mathematical functions made out of plaster that he decided to use as inspiration. He later studied mathematics as an autodidact.
He currently seeks to represent in his engravings the many remarkable mathematical models and their developments in particular fields of physics.
Patrice resides at La Motte Chalancon, a charming village of Provence between Vercors and Baronnies. |
