INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM MATHEMATICS & ART
-
MAUBEUGE, FRANCE SEPTEMBER 20-22, 2000
|
|
|
| |
| INTRODUCTION |
| |
| Objectives |
- (1) Allow artists to introduce work inspired by mathematics or based on mathematics
- (2) Allow mathematicians to introduce and discuss projects that can inspire both disciplines (tesselation, topology, surfaces trajectories)
- (3) Discussion on the usefulness of art as a tool to teach mathematics; comparisons of experiences and projects
